"The commitment and enthusiasm of the teachers is beyond anything we have seen.  Our kids love going to school and we feel their progress is a direct result of the efforts and attitude of the teaching staff.  Thank you Bilingual Buds!"

"Bilingual Buds has no parallel. They offer a superbly unique education, providing differentiated instruction in a warm environment with mastery of a second language to boot! My family was among the first to enroll and we stayed for several years. To this day, my daughter Jenny cries over missing Bilingual Buds and when she does, I tell her that it is one of a kind, and that we were lucky to have it available as a school. Fortunately, the many close friendships we made as child and mother have continued and her Mandarin remains impressive. There is no better choice for today's child who will be the contributor of many tomorrows."

"I love how Bilingual Buds is a true Mandarin immersion school, with teachers who are native speakers. However, the best part about the school is that my two-year old daughter loves it! The teachers are warm and caring, and the class size is small so she has the opportunity to form close relationships with each of her classmates. She comes home singing songs in Mandarin and tells me to do things like "stand up" or "repeat it"  (we normally speak Cantonese or English at home.) We have been happy with her school experience."

"We enrolled our eldest daughter at Bilingual Buds because of the immersion program in Spanish.  We were impressed at the dual language instruction (English-Spanish) and wanted her to concretely learn Spanish, in a group setting with other children her age.  The school has surpassed our expectations;  the teachers are fun, persistent, friendly and open to ideas/concerns.  The small class size allows the teachers, as well as the students, the ability to concentrate on an area of interest that spontaneously comes up.   Ms. Maria (Music) and Ms. Marcia (Art) are phenomenal teachers.  The atmosphere is friendly and collegial.

What about my daughter?  She loves going to school.  She is curious about many things.  Most importantly for me, she no longer feels that Spanish is a “foreign” language that none of our friends speak.  Last year in Kindergarten, her Spanish improved considerably in a 2-month time frame for the Fall Music recital.  And, by the end of the year, she was speaking Spanish fluidly.  This year, I am noticing that her “r” in Spanish is finally trilling!"

"My favorite Bilingual Buds memories are from school drop-off and pick-up. These moments are my window into my children's world. These are the times I see my children animatedly interacting with their teachers, regaling them with their triumphs, accomplishments, or even the latest antics of our dog. Considering that so many of these conversations occur exclusively in Mandarin, I am in awe of my children and see firsthand the respect and admiration they have for their teachers, both English and Mandarin."

"What we like best about the school is its results.  Before Bilingual Buds, we tried other schools, some of which claimed to be "immersion," as well as tutors and software, but none were effective. The key advantage of Bilingual Buds is it is truly an immersion program, with abundant exposure to native language speakers. My wife and I do not speak a word of Mandarin, but our son now speaks it fluently."

"It isn't just the language that we love having our children learn. It is also the cultural experience, from the many Spanish-speaking countries and teachers from varied backgrounds. Our children learned "Un Millón de Amigos," a song we hadn't known after years of our own study of Spanish. It is a song that brings cultures together. My daughter learned it last year, and just recently she came downstairs singing it, knowing all of the words.  It was music to our ears!"

"When we started looking at schools for our almost 2 year-old last year, we knew we wanted an immersion program. Bilingual Buds is truly a great program--but the amazing teachers take it to the next level. At the end of last year, my daughter's teacher asked all of the kids what they wanted her to bring back from China. My daughter said, "a pink bike!"  When the next school year started, there was a little pink bike waiting for her.  I know my daughter and I will never forget Ms. Lucy and the impact she has had on our first year of school."

"My son initially attended Bilingual Buds' summer camp where the exposure to Mandarin bolstered his confidence to communicate. He continued by attending the school's Pre K program, where the individualized teaching methods facilitated his enthusiasm for learning. It is a joy to see his eagerness to go to school--an environment that encourages social awareness, mutual respect and cooperation. The dedication of the highly qualified teachers, and the unique syllabus, catalyzed steady improvement in my son's vocabulary and comprehension in both Mandarin and English, and across all subject areas.
